Flashdance

A professional welder by day and a self-taught dancer by night, Alex’s dream is to train as an elite dancer at the Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance and Repertory.

Although fiercely independent, Alex falls under the spell of her site manager.

Their passionate relationship reflects Alex's fiery personality, but she sometimes seems to lack the confidence to follow her dreams.

Two worlds collide: her day job, masculine and straightforward, and the other, more colourful, at night.

The cabaret where Alex works is a place of physical and artistic expression, where the young employees are all waiting for their big break: her best friend Jeanie wants to become an ice skater, and her friend, the cook, wants to become a stand-up comedian.

The world of entertainment and show business is a world of dreams and disillusion, where love and friendship are essential for survival.
